A day like any otherThat day began like any other, a cup of coffee,
a quick kiss goodbye and as I drove off
you waved at me & I started a silly salute
but just then a truck thundered by & I -- too late, you were gone back inside so I didn’t bother
And all that day your
scent stayed with me,
clean and crisp reminding me of the smell that will hang in the air
some nights
& tell you rain is going to come down
in buckets
in the not too distant future.
All that day,
the fine hairs on my arms

The PoolGod you’re really not there, I called you just now and you never answered, never picked up the phone, even though I kept it ringing
for what seemed like ages.
You’re not there and the phone is still ringing and my heart is still breaking and I can hear your voice
telling me everything’s okay,
everything’s fine, you say.
But you weren’t there when I went to work this morning. You weren’t there when I came home, and you weren’t there for all the little moments in between,
when I ate a sandwich or maybe stopped for gas

30 secondsI saw the sign As I walked past, ‘130 seconds to the beach’. And I thought How odd But I took up the challenge And started to count. 130 seconds later no beach. I saw sand in the cracks on the footpath I heard waves crashing onto sand I smelt salt But no beach. Walking further I came upon Pacific Street That sounded hopeful, And there at the end Was golden sand Stretching forever As far as I could see On the horizen The sun was just Peeking above the ocean –
The Pacific I guess. The water was b 30 seconds

Got my camera today and am exited as hell, trying to figure out how to work it, taking some snappies, getting them transferred to my laptop, in the process a good time was had by all, heh.

The frustrating thing is I have to work all day every day this whole week, and most evenings too, so I won't have much time to figure it all out, nor much daylight to work with. I just wish work didn't cut into my spare time so much, but anyway, no sense dwelling on that, back to the camera and figuring out what all the buttons do
